The meeting point is at 11:00 a.m. at the Merten Train Station parking lot (Burgweg). From there, the hike is a roughly 9-kilometer loop through the varied landscape around Eitorf. The route includes some elevation gain and is classified as moderately difficult. Both humans and dogs should therefore be in good physical condition and sure-footed.
Deborah Baum lives in Eitorf and is herself passionate about exploring nature with her dog. Join her on a hike lasting about 3.5 hours, which will of course include a leisurely break. At Stachelhardt, you’ll have the chance to unpack the snacks you’ve brought, take a short break, and enjoy the beautiful view over the Sieg Valley.
Whether with or without a dog—all hiking enthusiasts are warmly invited to join us. Participation is free of charge. Dogs should be well-socialized and kept on a leash throughout the entire hike.
Organizer: Eitorf Tourist Information. Please register by October 15, 2026, at the latest—by email at touristinfo@eitorf.de or by phone at 02243 89153.
