Barrier-free ballooning over the Bergisches Land region

The Bergisches Land region, with its many hills, valleys and gullies, offers ideal conditions for varied balloon flights and is therefore known as the El Dorado of ballooning.

With the "Ballonteam Bergisches Land", the BSC Reichshof e.V. operates a unique hot air balloon at the launch site in Reichshof-Eckenhagen. The partnership came into being in 2019 in cooperation with the Bergisches Land Nature Park and the tourism organisation Naturarena Bergisches Land Gmbh.

As part of the EFRE project "All Inclusive - barrier-free & senior-friendly", a special basket with a removable seat for strapping in was purchased in 2020, which also has a door. A balloon experience for everyone is created. This makes it easier for senior citizens and people with disabilities in particular to get into the basket and find a safe seat.

If you want to experience the Bergisches Land from the air, book a balloon ride with BSC Reichshof. How soon you take to the skies depends, among other things, on the weather conditions. But don't worry: the pilot will contact each passenger and arrange everything necessary. After that it's just up in the air and letting the wind carry you.
