Nature walk through orchards
The free, guided hike with Peter and Angelika Klein starts at 9:30 am at the hiking parking lot in Eitorf-Bourauel, Hohner Weg.
The first part of the walk is uphill along the wild meadow path in the Mengbachtal valley along the course of the stream. The route follows narrow paths towards Merten-Bruch, where you can take your first break at the chapel. The hike offers great views of the Siebengebirge and Eitorf. On a meadow orchard above Bourauel, there will be a talk by Ulrich Henders about the natural habitat of meadow orchards and the production of apple juice.
Route length: approx. 11 km with approx. 350 meters of elevation gain; duration: approx. 5 hours incl. lecture on orchards
