Varied route from the Dhünn valley to the "town on the heights"
Gently rolling hills accompany hikers on their way to Hückeswagen, where historic alleyways, slate-roofed houses, and a rustic castle complex invite visitors to take a stroll through town. Water, forest, and wind then characterize the rest of the route through the Wupper Valley—where the river is dammed downstream at the Wuppertal Dam—and up to Radevormwald, situated 421 meters above sea level—the “town on the hill,” as locals like to call it.
