In cooperation with the tourist information office, Natascha Bellinghausen, Johannes Baust and Miriam Schaffner from the Eitorfer beekeeping association invite you to a guided hike on Melli's bee nature trail. The free event is aimed at all interested parties and families; the meeting point is the Hüppelröttchen hiking parking lot at 2:30 pm.
Participants will gain exciting insights into the natural history, biology and social behavior of honey bees; it is also possible to take a look inside the bee colonies at the apiary. Our experts from the beekeeping association are bee experts and consultants for wasps and hornets and can impart their knowledge in a clear and practical way.
The route is approx. 1.5 km long (approx. 3 km in total including the return journey to the parking lot) and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. The path is gravelled and suitable for baby carriages, but not for walking frames.
