Recreational areas along the Sieg River are specifically designated, location-based zones within the otherwise strictly protected nature reserve, where the general ban on swimming and entering the area is lifted, so that visitors are permitted to leave the trails, camp, swimming, and the use of inflatable boats are legally permitted.
