Solingen Art Museum

Short facts

  • Solingen

Focus is present-day

The Solingen Art museum houses the city’s art collection of around 10,000 pieces, most of which have a regional connection. The early work of Georg Meistermann - one of the most important German artists of the post-war period - deserves a special mention. Contemporary art also finds a home here.

Changing special exhibitions at the museum attract attention beyond the region too and always make a visit worthwhile. As the home of the Forum des Jungen Kunst, the Solingen Art Museum always provides an up-to-date artistic take on current events.
