... which is still called the "Wipper" upstream from Wipperfürth, ensures there’s never a dull moment on the way to Marienheide. Wide-open views across the Bergisches Land and into the Sauerland also add variety, so that even a few steeper sections are conquered almost effortlessly before you reach the historic pilgrimage site of Marienheide at the intersection of ancient long-distance trails.
