On the forest educational trail, you can expect 23 "Flip yourself smart - panels" on the subject of trees and 11 clearly illustrated information boards on other forest topics.

You hike along the forest educational trail with your parents, teachers, or on your own, partly on the "Forester's Path", over comfortable forest roads. Depending on the time spent at the info and experience stations, two to three hours should be planned for the route.

The forest and bee educational trails run partly parallel to the "Forester's Path." The forest educational trail starts at the first station of the bee educational trail and can be walked in any direction.

Children under 12 should only visit the adventure trail accompanied by adults. In extreme weather such as storm, thunderstorm, or heavy rain, you should not go into the forest. Please treat the signs, games, and other objects carefully and do not leave any litter behind. Please be considerate of animals and plants.

The forest educational trail is stroller-friendly.

On the forest educational trail, you need sturdy shoes. Bringing provisions in a backpack is advantageous as there are no catering facilities.

If you want to solve the puzzle, you will need the participation card and a pen.

Group tours: Registration for group tours at the Regional Forestry Office Rhein-Sieg-Erft, phone 0049 2243 / 92160. The tours are free of charge.

From Eitorf via Asbacher Straße and Bergstraße to Eitorf-Käsberg. Drive through the town via the street "Zum Hohen Schaden" to the bending priority road. Turn left there following the sign "Hüppelröttchen hiking area." After about 800 m, the Melchiorweg parking lot is reached (50°44'34.70"N 7°28'48.60"E). From there, yellow honeycomb-shaped markers lead to the educational trail.

From here it is about a 12-minute walk; go south on Kisteneichstr., then turn left uphill and follow the path straight ahead, then continue right to the Melchiorweg/Hüppelröttchen hiking parking lot.

Some parts of the route are covered by taxi buses/call taxis, which must be requested at least 30-60 minutes before departure via the app "RSVG on demand", online at www.rsvg.de/ondemand, or by phone 02241/499-999.
