For young explorers! Search, look, concentrate: As a little nature photographer, use your own camera to search for animals such as ants, butterflies or wildcats, sharpen your view of the local animal world and discover surprising things!

Wanted: Ant, woodlouse, bumblebee, hedgehog, owl, dragonfly, butterfly, black stork, dormouse, forest lizard and wildcat. These and many other animals, some of them rare, live in the forest and on the fields and meadows of the Mengbach Valley. With a little luck and attention, you can spot them!

Take pictures: Try to photograph as many animals as possible! It's not difficult at all. Ants and woodlice, for example, can often be found. However, because some animals are very shy, we have helped a little: There are not quite real animals hidden along the edge of the path on some trees. (Tip: look up more often!)

Win: If you have spotted and photographed four of the eleven animals mentioned, send the pictures by e-mail to: fotosafari@naturregion-sieg.de. All correct entries will be entered into our annual competition.

The photo safari has not only gained a new animal object, but also a new photo point in the form of the “Swallowtail” butterfly. With a great panorama, the spot is perfect for your souvenir photo with family, friends, individually or as a couple!
