From Europaplatz, go a short stretch along Neue Poststraße. Then turn right onto Leinpfad and follow the course of the Siegburg Mühlengraben. The first highlight shortly after is the ascent of Michaelsberg with its former abbey, from where you have a great view over the Rhine valley and Siebengebirge. Along the Mühlengraben, it goes uphill towards the two Wolsberge. At Wolsberg, like Michaelsberg of volcanic origin, you reach the main path marked in blue. A beautiful path circles the distinctive basalt tuff cone. After an underpass, the beautiful "Alexianerallee" leads you straight to a former knight's estate from the 14th century. Through mixed forest and past a biotope, narrow forest paths and trails almost completely circle the village of Kaldauen until the path branches off at a shelter towards Seligenthal monastery. The former monastery complex was founded in the mid-13th century as the first Franciscan monastery north of the Alps. Anyone making a detour to the dam of the Wahnbachtalsperre, about 500 m away, enjoys a great view. Back through the quiet valley leads a beautiful path past the Johannisbrünnchen to former vineyard terraces with orchard meadows. Here you enjoy wide views over the Sieg valley up to the Siebengebirge. Through the Sieg floodplains, you reach the center of Hennef on a dam.
