--- Current Route Update --- Temporary Restoration of the Balkantrasse Panorama Bike Path on Montanusstraße (Burscheid): The city of Burscheid will temporarily restore the currently closed section of the Balkantrasse Panorama Bike Path near Montanusstraße in the near future. First, the maintenance department of Technische Werke Burscheid (TWB) will carry out preparatory work, such as trimming shrubs and hedges. Then, at the end of the second week of July, work will begin on installing the temporary surface treatment, known as a water-bound surface course. Completion and reopening of this section are scheduled to be finished by the start of summer vacation.The Balkantrasse Panorama Bike Path will be temporarily reopened between the entrance and exit at the Megafon Children’s and Youth Center and the bridge on Friedrich-Goetze-Straße. As soon as the private construction project begins and the areas are needed for the construction site, the section will have to be closed again for safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding! Wenn Sie die Wupper-Runde entgegen der empfohlenen Fahrtrichtung (also im Uhrzeigersinn) fahren möchten, können Sie sich die rund 100 Höhenmeter zwischen Unterburg und Oberburg sparen, indem Sie mit der Seilbahn zum Schloss Burg hochfahren – denn diese transportiert auch Fahrräder (Pedelecs nur bis 20 kg).
