In cooperation with the tourist information office, Miriam Schaffner from the Eitorfer beekeeping association invites you to a guided hike on Melli's bee nature trail. The free event is aimed at children and adults; the meeting point is the Hüppelröttchen hiking parking lot at 2:30 pm.
Participants will gain exciting insights into the natural history, biology and social behavior of honey bees; it is also possible to take a look inside the bee colonies at the apiary. Miriam Schaffner is a bee expert and consultant for wasps and hornets and will impart her knowledge in a clear and practical way. The event takes place as part of the "Day of Hiking", the nationwide campaign for community hiking, where numerous activities are offered every year on May 14 and the following days.
The route is approx. 1.5 km long (approx. 3 km in total including the return journey to the parking lot) and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. The path is gravelled and suitable for baby carriages, but not for walking frames.
