Die kleinere von zwei Höhlen in Ründeroth, aber die die man überhaupt besichtigen kann. Die Höhle liegt direkt am "Höhlenweg", dem Bergischen Streifzug mit der Nummer 14. Start des Weges ist am Bahnhof in Ründeroth.

The Aggertalhöhle at a total length of 1,071 m is the longest cave in the Rhineland. The total height difference in the cave is 31 m. This is found along a run of reef limestone at Hobräcker Schichten, which in geological terms is to be categorised as being from the Middle Devonian period.


The course of the tour is 270 m long with a height difference of approx. 10 m and is easy to walk. The entrance hall and main entrance are also wheelchair accessible. The temperatures remain constant at 6 - 8 degrees all year round.


The tour usually takes 45 - 50 minutes. The first tour begins at 10:00 am. They then continue at 75 minute intervals. There is also the option of buying a keepsake or souvenir.
