The smaller of two caves in Ründeroth, but the one that can be visited at all. The cave is located directly on the "Cave Trail", the Bergischer Streifzug with the number 14, which starts at the railway station in Ründeroth.
The tour route itself has a length of 270 m with a height difference of approx. 10 m and is easy to walk along. The entrance hall and main corridor are also wheelchair-accessible. The temperature is 6 - 8 degrees all year round.
The Aggertal Cave is open every year from April 1st - November 1st Thursday - Sunday 10:00 - 17:00 and on public holidays. A normal guided tour lasts approx. 45 - 50 minutes. The first tour starts at 10 am. The other tours start every 75 minutes. There are also opportunities to buy souvenirs to take home with you.

The Aggertalhöhle can be easily reached with the RB 25. A 3.5 km hiking trail leads from Engelskirchen station to the cave and there is also a bus service. Here you can find a travel report about a visit to the cave.
Please remember to bring warm clothing, as the temperature in the cave is only 6 to 8 degrees all year round.
