Church of the Resurrection

Short facts

  • Siegburg
The Church of the Resurrection is the main church of the Protestant parish of Siegburg. It was built on the same site in 1957 after the destruction of the old town church of 1879.

The concept of the Church of the Resurrection follows the idea of being God's tent on earth, God's hut with the people (according to the images of the Revelation of John). It seeks to be "close to the people" and, according to the will of the congregation and its presbytery, should always be a place of contemporary proclamation.

To this end, the church has been altered several times.

Soon after the remodelling, the congregation made the decision to keep the church open on weekdays and let people come for quiet devotion, prayer or just to rest.
