Die Geschichte der Burscheider Kirche reicht weit zurück.

Schon im 11. Jahrhundert ist ein kirchliches Gebäude belegt, 1767 wurde die Kirche im Stil des so genannten Bergischen Barock erweitert und erhielt einen Großteil ihrer heutigen Gestalt.
