Short facts

  • Windeck
The new permanent exhibition focuses on the history of the Seligmann family, beginning with the generation of Moses and Fanni Seligmann in the mid-19th century. It is developed closely with regional references; the town of Rosbach is embedded in the narrative, as are references to Jewish life in the district. General German history is included in the internal narrative and in a timeline in the period from the First World War to the end of the Second World War, since it is during this period that the story of the Seligmann family is tragically interwoven with German history and the terrible events of the Shoah. The exhibition also takes into account developments after 1945.

TIL PROBABLY THE END OF 2022 THE MEMORIAL STATION (MUSEUM BUILDING) WILL BE CLOSED FOR RECONSTRUCTION WORKS AND NEW CONCEPTION OF THE PERMANENT EXHIBITION. THE EVENT SERIES IS NOT AFFECTED BY THIS AND WILL TAKE PLACE AS ANNOUNCED.
