The gnomes have moved onto Keltersberg and are enchanting visitors along the Kiki Eichhorn Trail with little gnome houses and lovingly crafted scenes.
The Wichtelwaldweg trail begins at Keltersberg on Kelterser Straße in Eitorf. The stations are located along the Kiki Eichhorn Adventure Trail (the Eitorf city tour marked as the “Erlebnisweg Sieg,” the yellow-marked access path to the Natursteig Sieg, and the Path of German Unity also run along this route); there are also small Wichtelwald signposts. The trail, including the return trip, is approximately 2 km long and suitable for sturdy strollers—though it does involve an uphill climb and is somewhat rugged. Please treat the structures with care and stay on the trails. Entering the forest is at your own risk.
The Wichtelwald can be visited from May until the end of the NRW fall break (November 1, 2026) and will return in spring 2027. A big thank you goes to Annette and Elke Lohmberg, who created this very special place of discovery.
