The Bergische Panoramasteig leads over 244 km in 12 stages through the Bergisches Land Nature Park.

The Bergische Panoramasteig is located in one of the most varied low mountain ranges in Germany, only about 40 kilometers from the metropolis of Cologne. It leads in a large loop over a length of 244 kilometers in 12 stages through the Bergisches Land Nature Park. Impressive views of the wide, open cultural landscape accompany you at every turn. The circular route leads through the valleys of the Agger, Wupper and other small streams, through impressive mixed forests, past lush meadows and many reservoirs - and particularly often over the mountain ranges with their panoramic views that are so typical of the region.

On the way, you can not only enjoy the view, but also experience a lot: The Bergisches Freilichtmuseum, various stalactite caves, the monkey and bird park, Homburg Castle, the treetop walk at Panarbora and other interesting traces of cultural history bring the past, culture, fauna and flora to life. Take a break during your hike and visit a museum, a monument or a church along the way. It's worth it!

Along and near the trails and especially in the stage towns, you will find our "Bergisches Wanderland hosts", who offer you relaxing accommodation and refreshment stops. From comfortable hotels and rustic country inns to cozy vacation apartments, from fine restaurants to rustic beer gardens, the hosts are specially geared to the wishes of hikers. They meet defined quality criteria and carry the "Bergisches Wanderland - Host" seal of approval, which makes them easy for hikers to recognize. Among other things, they provide guests with packed lunches for on the way, provide competent information about hiking tours and sights, transport your luggage and pick you up or take you to the trails.

You can find all the hosts along the Bergischer Panoramasteig here.
