Stage 7 leads from Marienheide to Bergneustadt.

The headwaters of the Wupper are not only blessed with rain but also known for their strong winds; the Bergischer Panoramasteig winds its way through this area, past wind turbines and the Unnenberg, down to the Genkel Dam. The Aggertalsperre, with its own beach, and the idyllic little village of Lieberhausen with its colorful church are other charming stops along the route via Niederrengse to Bergneustadt. The destination for this stage is equally diverse, offering both a bustling commercial center and a historic, winding old town complete with a local history museum.

We’d like to thank Andreas Rüffler, Uwe Töpfer, Markus Loschko, and Annegret Gisevius, who look after the trail as volunteer trail sponsors.

Here you’ll find all the hosts for Stage 7.

Robert Klink hiked the entire Bergischer Panoramasteig and filmed a great video. You can watch it here on YouTube.
