Along the major artery, the river Wupper to the historic cottage

The second stage of the Klingenpfad trail begins above Schloss Burg at the Talsperrenstraße car park. From here, the route heads through Angerscheid and Höhrath down to the Sengbach reservoir. Walk along the slopes of the Wupper to Glüder. You can pick up a snack here on the Wupper before continuing through Pfaffenberg to Balkhausen. If you want to, you can make a detour in Balkhausen to the Balkhauser Kotten, which is off the trail. The Klingenpfad then runs in a wide arc via Haus Hohenscheid around Bünkenberg and down towards Rüden. On the upper slopes of the Wupper, the trail heads along Mühlenberg and through Widdert. Along the Weinsberger Bach you reach the Wupper again where this stage ends at the historic Wipperkotten grinding mill.
