Directly after your start at Eitorf station with its listed freight handling building, you will immediately admire the castle-like factory owner’s residence "Boge Villa" opposite. Then your history route leads over Erlenberg to the Old Cemetery. Here you can enjoy the silence of the listed park with its old trees and magnificent graves. On the south side of the site, you leave the quiet place and return to life in Eitorf. Along the way, it is worth taking a look at the old cigar factory, which now houses modern art. A visit to the sculpture garden is also recommended. Following Mühlenstraße, you cross the Eipbach and reach the marketplace along its course. How about a break now in one of the nice cafés? Beyond the square, Parkstraße passes the factory owner villa of the Gauhe family, with its mix of timber framing, sandstone, and slate. A large detour takes you through the park-like "Sieganlagen" to the river onto a dam. On the other bank rises the former vineyard "Keltersberg," which is worth a detour. After crossing the bridge, a beautiful path leads you in several switchbacks to a romantic viewing pavilion. A beautiful place for a picnic and a good opportunity to enjoy the picturesque view over the Sieg valley. On the way back, after crossing the Sieg again, you turn right – and pass by the Siegbalkon via the Siegauenplatz to reach the station.
