The Aggertalsperre: hiking, swimming, water sports and relaxation by the lake in the green Bergisches Land region.
A wide variety of water sports activities are possible at the Aggertalsperre. You can swim to your heart's content at the Bruch lido, as well as at the Aggertalsperre leisure camp. Rowing and pedal boats are also available here for an exciting tour across the water. Barbecue areas round off the perfect day at the lake. And if you want to stay at the Aggertalsperre for several days, you can also camp here.
The"Energy Trail" themed hiking trail from the Bergisches Wanderland hiking trail series starts at the dam wall of the Aggertalsperre.
A huge work of art has also been on display at the dam wall since summer 2025. The 137-metre-wide and 6.5-metre-high work picks up on the REGIONALE future theme "Alles Ressource!". Resources characterize the Bergisches RheinLand: water, forest, grass and stone have shaped and continue to shape the cultural landscape and are omnipresent. The acceleration of climate change makes it clear that the sustainable and efficient use of local treasures is crucial. The large-scale artwork "ECHO" at the Aggertalsperre makes a strong statement in this regard.
