Gräfrath Lichtturm

Short facts

  • Solingen

Breathtaking both in summer and winter

The light tower is a stark contrast to its natural surroundings and the breathtaking panorama around it and yet it blends into its setting as if it had grown naturally on this spot.
The modern glass structure on the old water tower with a diameter of 12 metres is located on the rural outskirts of Solingen on the border with Wuppertal. At 276 metres above sea level, this highest point in Solingen is a unique “light tower” in the region owing to its structure and lighting design. A landmark with an unforgettable interior full of light, reflections and views both inside and out. An event venue that can open up entirely new perspectives for visitors due to its unusual architecture. Readings and concerts are held here in an intimate setting.

The Solingen Lichtturm can be hired for conventions, meetings, seminars and so on. You can even tie the knot here at this licenced wedding venue and give your guests a warm reception afterwards.
Tip: The panorama and ambience of the light tower provide an impressive setting for a marriage proposal! Are you brave enough to take the plunge?
