Bergbahntrasse: Link between Korkenziehertrasse and Brückenpark Müngsten

The 5.5-kilometre-long Bergbahntrasse lives up to its name, as there are inclines to overcome on this section. As a footpath and cycle path, the former Barmer Bergbahn AG tram line runs from the Korkenziehertrasse (Eckstraße) first through the Gustav-Coppel-Park and then alongside the road to Eibenweg. From there it heads uphill to the Theegartener Kopf viewpoint. At the top, there is a fantastic view of the skyline of Solingen and towards Wuppertal and Remscheid. Nice benches are there for you to take a breather. The rest of the route is downhill, down through the forest to the Müngsten Bridge sightseeing destination and the Brückenpark Müngsten – also with fantastic views.
