The Bergischer Weg is Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2024!
The route there initially seems like a journey around the world: trees from all over the world grow in the former testing ground for hardy tree species near Wuppertal-Cronenberg. The route continues under Germany's highest railroad bridge to Müngstener Brückenpark and Unterburg, from where the final ascent to Schloss Burg can be climbed in a chairlift.
Walking time: approx. 7 hours
If you hike the Bergischer Weg and take photos at certain points along the way, you can collect points and receive a hiking pin. Further information is available here.
We would like to thank Michael Maul, Manfred Kirchner and Udo Meller, who look after the trail as volunteer trail patrons.
