Kelterser Berg

Short facts

  • Eitorf

From Kelterser Berg, you have a wonderful view of Eitorf and the surrounding area. A small trail leads through a wooded area up to two pavilions with picnic tables and seating. There are also interactive stations for children along the Kiki Eichhorn Trail, as well as a hammock.

Wine was even grown on Kelterser Berg for six centuries, starting in the 13th century. The years 1814–1815 likely marked the end of viticulture in Eitorf. But since the early 1990s, viticulture has been making a comeback. An “amateur winemaker” succeeded in growing “Dornfelder” grapes in a small vineyard. “Eitorf wine—simple, but fine!”
